Environment Agency Flood Map for Planning 2022
After initial analysis Floodline identified that the Environment Agency Indicative Flood Map for Planning was mis-representing the flood extents and risk to the town.
As a consequence potential development sites were being disregarded by the Local Authority for planning purposes due to the incorrect flood risk designation
Floodline, working in partnership with Environment Agency, re- modelled the hydraulic model to provide a more accurate understanding of flood risk to this area.
Benefits to all parties:
EA have a more accurate flood map for planning.
Local Authority are able to review their site allocations documentation.
The site is now developable.
